Make sure you go with a local agent. This way you actually get someone that can review your coverages and make sure that you are not paying for things you do not need. A local agent is best, However there are so many to select from it can be very confusing. I would go with a Trusted name such as Allstate or Say Farm.

If you can get 21st century insurance there it is very inexpensive in most cases.

It all deppends on your age and the type of automobile you have. There might be some companies that are local or private that might offer you a superior rate than those that are advertise on tv all the time.

Your city? The larger the city the higher.

Accidents? More you have the higher it goes.

Yes .. check with a company like Progressive to compare rates.

I always ring them and tell them to find a cheaper policy or I am moving to another company
I rub it in a tiny — “I have been with this company 9 years” — “I have never had an accident” — “every year the price goes up, am I paying for each ones accidents ” etc etc
And I never fail to get a new quote which is lower by about 40 / 50 pounds per year — try the flanneling, it works for me

A first time teen driver needs to have enough brains to get a company that will give them the BEST coverage possible.

Not get the cheapest they can find.

Cheap = crap. Regardless of whether you are buying cars, clothes, or insurance.

And when you wreck your car, do you really want to hope to rely on the cheapest people you can find?

just be added to a parents policy.. that is the most common thing.. I am not sure how they would give you a quote on your own.. since a LARGE Factor is your credit ratting in which you do not have one.. But when getting quotes your first question should be .. are you a High Risk agency.. you do not want that.. !! Try ERIE they beat all the huge Co. I have had in the past by a ton.. good luck!

Ask an insurance company. Surely as an adult you have noticed that everybody doesn’t pay the same amount for insurance. It depends on a lot more than drivers age and the car.

Im kind of confused. If you have insurance there cant really be a lawsuit. Thats the point of insurance.
As long as you have say minumum insurance you shouldnt be worried about lawsuits, unless he was drunk or street racing. ( now i think it includes texting)
But to give you a more direct answer, go with progressive, they will walk you tthrough what you need as far as coverage based on driving habits and let you pick your price.
i pay 1200 for a 03 ford focus and a 91 civic on the same plan and i have 4 speeding tickets and a accident and my wife, on the same plan, has one accident. So yours should be close to 350 with say minum based on the population of where you live and theft and accident rates there.

I was in a automobile accident where a truck hit me. I can see where on my automobile in pics but nothing to compare from other car. They state they dont have pictures. I just cant believe a company with a client who has a 2 mil policy wouldnt take pics of their clients auto but are trying to fight the claim…so I guess I just want to know….if they have pictures, do they have to share them with us or can they wait until trial?
my insurance company and my lawyer stated they dont have any pics of the truck that hit me…

My insurance company gave me pics of my automobile they took and I had someone take some for me when I was in the hospital. No one seems to have pics of the other auto which I highly doubt is true. The man was in a work auto and the company has a lot at stake with a 2 mil policy…and my over $ 200,000 medical bills….i just seriously doubt no one took a pictture of the automobile since we both have different stories of what happened

Your insurance company will or should be handling this through their legal department, not you.

*IF* they took pictures, they have to give you those pics if you ask in writing after you file suit. You would get them before trial, but not until after you filed a complaint.

In the US there is a whole process called “Discovery” where the attorneys on both sides get to send “Requests for Production of Documents” and the other side have to turn over documents. Your attorney should handle this.

What other auto? I thought you stated you were hit by a truck. That is not a automobile or auto so be careful of what you state as any inconsistencies will count against you in court.

Why would you need pics of the truck? it hit you so you show your damages and your car. You can get stock pics of the truck if you know make and model (in police report) to show that this was a huge automobile that hit you. If he claims it was not his car, you can get police report and see if pics were included, but probably not when no death. You show that you were hit and by their truck and show your damages – your pics of you and automobile and the expenses, which you will have and you have a good case. They would show anything to dispute that or make it sound less. Speak to you attorney. Your insurance company should be representing you and hiring the attorney, though then they can settle without your okay so you might want to get your own attorney as well.

Your attorney or insurance company if they are suing, can do discovery to recover pics of the car. You might be able to find out where the car is and take pics yourself — might be in junk yard or was it towed in? You have discovery where your attorney question the driver and any witnesses and you and other side does the same. Be very careful you state exactly what you mean and do not get auto and truck blended up. You want to leave no doubt in the jury’s mind. Good luck to you.

Yes, you can, but the cost might be as much as a car, because the ins companies know that the likelihood of an accident is greater with younger people on two wheels…….

Absolutely you can. And if you select not to worry about medical on the policy it is a lot cheaper than vehicle insurance. I pay $ 85.00 a month for vehicle Ins. on one car, and $ 32 a month for insurance on two motorcycles.
Much depends upon the size of the bike. (how many CC’s the engine is) the larger the engine, the more the insurance.
